Everybody has some thing they love the most. It could be an item, or a habit or even a person. Doing the same thing again and again or giving more importance to something than what it actually needs is Obsession. Most of the new bloggers fail in blogging only because of their Blogging Obsession.

Lets see the basic Blog promotion tips every blogger should do right after publishing the blog post.

Be Socialize

Promote your blog posts by using social media sites like facebook, digg, twitter and e.t.c. This helps you in getting visitors to your blogs from social networks, and search engines to rank your pages higher.

Blog Commenting

Spend your valuable time on other blogs to get your readers time for your blog. Visit other blogs in your niche and read the blog post (listen to the blogger views) and leave worthy comments. You can attract other commentators, just by leaving a rocking comment on the blog.

Ping Your Blog

I do not know much about this Pinging, but most bloggers believe this helps blogs to get Indexed quickly. So why not give a try to ping your blog. As per my knowledge search engines became more brilliant, if you ping frequently it will not help for your blog promotion and reduce your page rank.

Submit your blog sitemap

If you use static sitemaps, after every post sitemap has to be updated so that google and other search engines will index your web pages. There is a solution to this by using dynamic sitemaps, which will be updated regularly and make search engines to index your web pages.

Forum Posting

Choose popular forums on the web to get your blog promotion easy. I love Warrior Forum for its large member potential. Forum participation worth knowing the new tips for your blog promotion and get readers to your blog.

Guest Blogging

You can post on other’s blogs too, who accept articles from other bloggers. By posting articles on other blogs gives you a link back to your site, it helps you get reader’s attention to your blog. You will get more readers and search engines also consider these links as high quality, so better SERP ranking.

Article Submission

Submit articles to Article Directories like Ezine Articles. These websites have good reader base so works well in blog promotion.
TIP Submit same article to multiple directories by spinning them.

Blogging Obsession

All the blog promotion tips works well, till certain level.

Imagine posting 100 comments on 100 blogs, participating on 25 forums, using 10 ping websites daily, your blog will get alexa rank below 1000 within a month. All these are easy to do as they do not take much time. But you can not do them consistently. You can do for one day or two or three at most, after that you get bored. Search Engines will consider all your links are of low quality and the result is low SERP ranking.

What most of the new bloggers do is, they take the easy tasks and do them. You can not leave quality comments if you are trying to leave hundreds everyday, and no bloggers approves your comments as they don’t wish to have spam comments.

Only consider doings few things daily and consistently to promote your blog. There are other blog promotion tips I will discuss in my next post.
